AIC Mobile Warehouse Implementation

AIC Mobile Warehouse Implementation

AIC Mobile Warehouse is a software solution for warehouse accounting automation developed on the «1C Enterprise» platform for data collection terminals. AIC Mobile Warehouse can operate as part of the 1C : ERP and standalone configurations.

You can integrate AIC with various accounting systems. A data collection terminal is a device based on the Android operating system. It features a barcode scanner and an enhanced battery capacity, among its main technical characteristics. The terminal processes information, stores it, and transfers it to an external accounting system.

Methods of Implementing AIC Mobile Warehouse

When purchasing AIC Mobile Warehouse, we will offer you two implementation options:

  • Perform the work using your IT department;
  • Enlist the support of the specialized AIC Mobile Warehouse implementation department at Academyka.

Implementation by the Customer

If you choose the first implementation option, you should familiarize yourself with the instructions for working with the AIC REST-Api service. It provides the ability to receive and transmit data packets: an incoming data packet in the form of a JSON structure, based on which the AIC server creates new orders or elements of directories; an outgoing packet also in the form of a JSON structure, which contains information about the operations performed by the TSD that will be processed in the external accounting system.

The «REST-Api Data Generation» workplace has been developed to facilitate work during independent implementation. It allows the retrieval of a JSON structure for each configuration object, which the service will process without errors when transmitted externally.

However, the following important points should be considered, which will arise during independent implementation:

  • high labour costs for developing an interaction mechanism with the rest-API;
  • insufficient examination of one’s own business;
  • incomplete automation of business processes for warehouse accounting;
  • the need for an in-depth study of the purchased product.

Rest-Api is an architectural approach to organizing the interaction of an accounting system and a service that provides or processes information. This approach is standardized, reliable, performant, and, most importantly, transparent. Initially, in Rest-API, as in an architectural approach, the service is modelled, a clear list of methods is defined, their functionality, what information they will receive and transmit, and as a result, the ability for external accounting systems to interact with this service.

Implementation by the Specialized Team of Academyka

The team of Academyka carries out the implementation of AIC Mobile Warehouse in six stages.

To successfully launch the warehouse automation solution into industrial operation, it is necessary to:

  • Study business processes and warehouse accounting. At this stage, business processes established in the company are studied, warehouse accounting document chains are reviewed, automation options are defined, and existing problem points are identified.
  • Agreement of the technical assignment. Based on the analysis of company processes conducted in stage 1, an algorithm and regulation of interaction of AIC Mobile Warehouse with the used accounting system are developed according to business needs.
  • Development and debugging. At this stage, exchanges between accounting systems are developed, and functionality is customized to meet unique business needs. Programmers of the Academyka implementation team have experience in developing exchanges between configurations and in-depth product knowledge, which facilitates the development process and reduces implementation timelines. Analysts, in turn, test the final product and save your employees’ nerves.
  • Configuration and training. The implementation team will complete the full setup of the server and client parts of AIC Mobile Warehouse, data collection terminals, and the customer’s information base, train end users, and demonstrate the final product.
  • Inventory and launch. Having completed the staff training, the implementation team downloads current information from the information base and, together with the organization’s employees, conducts an inventory of warehouse premises.
  • Long-term support. In case of issues arise, our specialists provide user support and consultation.
